Commodore Perry Estate is a 1928 English mansion in Austin's Hyde Park neighborhood. An Auberge resort with getting-ready suites, gardens, and the kind of light that makes a morning feel like it was designed for photographs.

This was a Chinese and Taiwanese elopement. Preparations at Commodore Perry, then a ceremony at Chapel Dulcinea in the Austin Hill Country, an open-air chapel among cedar and live oaks, quiet and completely removed from the city. Two very different places that understood the same thing about what the day should feel like.
