I was born and raised in a quirky college town called Denton, Texas but just two years ago my hubs and I packed up our things and moved to Portland, Oregon for an adventure. After shooting so many unique love stories for almost 9 years, I’ve found what my heart craves the most and that’s rooting for couples who break the traditional rules and documenting what your love feels like. That kind of love when you give her half of your Taco Bell meal when she said she wasn’t hungry, the vulnerability you both allow that no one else gets to see, the stupid arguments that fade away, and all the late night pillow talks.
The imperfectly perfect quirks that makes you both unique, the feeling you get when “home” is being wrapped into each other’s arms, and that kind of love that no matter what happens you’ll always be there for each other. Those real, authentic moments is what I want to capture not what you see on Instagram’s #relationshipgoals (let’s be honest, anyone can fake that). Your story is real and is meant to be documented genuinely.
Every couple is different. How you met, how long you’ve been together, the struggles, and the laughing-your-ass-off good times. I want the experience of your shoot or wedding to represent your authentic story because that’s what makes you different from all the other couples.
Sloan is my best friend and my husbae. He’s the best guy I’ve ever known. We met at a halloween party back in Denton when we were in college. He was dressed up as a hipster cowboy and I was a deer. Later he asked me out to a coffee date which I responded “duh!” because I was so into him haha! We started dating and that next year and went back to the same halloween party but this time he surprised me with two penguin costumes. His words were to me “if you’re a bird, I’m a bird”.
